Theofania was born in Switzerland in 2013. At the age of six she discovered her love for cello. At the age of 8 she won the 1 st prize in the Zurich music competition in the category under 10.
In 2022 Theofania together with two talented violin players formed the Trio Amabile. Trio Amabile has performed in numerous national and international competitions and won first places in Zurich Music Competition 2022, Grand Prize Virtuoso Paris 2022, Swiss National Young Musician competition Lugano 2023, Rising Stars Riga 2023 and Nouvelles Etoiles 2024). With Trio Amabile, Theofania had the pleasure to perform in renowned stages like Cite de la Musique in Paris, The Small Guild in Riga, Beethoven’s house in Bohn, Kultur Kulinarik Vitznau in Switzerland.
As a soloist, Theofania has won first prizes in numerous national and international competitions including, Grand Prix Virtuoso Bonn 2023, Swiss National Young Musician competition 2024 in La Chaux-de-Fonds (with distinction). Cellist of the year 2024 and 2 times first prize winner at the London Young Musicians competition in 2024 s3 and 2025 s1. First prize winner in the Golden Classical Music Awards 2024 with invitation to play in the gala concert in Carnegie Music Hall in New York. First prize winner of the Zurich Youth Music competition in 2021 and 2023.
Since 2022 Theofania has been studying cello with Payam Taghadossi at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich.
As a cello player, Theofania puts a lot of effort in her continuous development and has attended master classes with Claire Oppert in 2022. She enjoys performing and taking part in various concerts. Among others, she has played with the Trio Amabile at the Ming Classics in Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich, at the Verkehrshaus in Lucerne, at the Zunfthaus zur Waag (children play for children) in Zurich, at the Dolder Grand Hotel with the Gringolts Quartet, at the ETH Zurich with the Orchestra Collegium Cantorum and in the Swiss Youth Music Competition New Year Concert in Vitznau (Lucern). As a soloist, she performed at the 'Musique Au Paradis' festival in Chamberia France. She also participated at the concert 'A container full of music' for children in Cambodia organized by The Smiling Geko association.
